The movie tricks you by having John Goodman come in playing his cool friend wanting him to get the good pills and giving him the "stroke mags" and you think it's going to get better.but putting your action packed plane crash scene at the beginning and then the climax of the film is an alphabet soup government agency hearing.kind of a let down.. The "yes" phrase gets a laugh out of screenwriter John Gatins. He scripted "Flight," which stars Denzel Washington as the pilot who acts heroically and saves many lives with an amazing bit of flying after his plane has a catastrophic mechanical failure. The guy flunks his drug test after the crash — big time.
