Set the car to eco and while cruising hit the NGS button. It changed to N mode and began the countdown. It downshifted, reved up and took off. Hit it again and it went back to eco. For what it's worth, if you use cruise control it will adjust the logic to lower the rpms, and use 8th when necessary regardless of mode. I used it to cruise while.. Hey guys, I never use the NGS button but the other day was thinking about it and how it might relate to octane learning. I know the idea of the NGS button is to provide a short period of time with some additional boost, and that the octane learning process also provides additional boost once completed as well, but do these things add to each other, or does the NGS button just force the level.. As for the NGS button, find a good stretch of road. If launching from a standing start, put it N mode (Checkered Flag button). When you're ready, press the NGS button, apply 1/2 to 3/4 throttle (to avoid the wheel hop), then send it. You can also hit the NGS button while rolling too. If you're under warranty, you're good.
