Well then, based on my experience with the WD800 and Subway 212, I offer a hearty "giddyup". The Mesa WD-800 sells for $999 and includes a handsome and well-padded gig bag/case. The Subway 2×12 sells for $1199 (slipcover included). For more info, visit www.mesaboogie.com. The new WD800 also features the Subway D800 Plus's highly effective HIGH PASS FILTER and a new POWER AMP DAMPING control, which allow tuning of the sub-low frequencies and power response options respectively. The POWER DAMPING choices enable you to tailor the tracking and feel of the power amp.

The WD800 is the most flexible of the bunch due to more eq options and the damping. That said, I find that the WD800 has a bit more "edge" compared to either the 800 or 800+. It really depends on your basses and technique though. fwiw I owned and gigged all three, currently have the WD800 as my main amp and the D800 in the car as backup.
