They have to take it out and send it in to get repaired by the CD player company that made it. It sucks not having a CD player. I have tons of cds and my iphone doesn't hold much music. I don't want an aftermarket cd player. I wish i could take it somewhere to get repaired locally. The laser in the cd players go out easily.. There is a code in the owners manual and it comes on a card the size of a credit card. It is a code that can only be used 5 times and then it automatically needs a new one. if you haven't used it more than 5 times then just enter in the code and it will unlock.
