i wanna ask regarding turbo boost and sync all cores in the UEFI/BIOS. if i enable "sync all cores" instead of auto for the cores, does all cores turbo boost together? i ran some benchmark and "sync all cores" does give slightly higher scores compared to "auto" (but not by a whole lot) just wondering how it works. specs: CPU: i5 - 6600 (non-K). CPU Core Ratio: There are two options for core ratio control: Sync all cores: All core ratios will be set to the same value. Per Core: Allows ratios to be applied to each core independently. In this scenario, when non-threaded applications are run, they can be assigned to cores that are running at a higher frequency to improve performance.
windows will use all cores pretty much equally so it will be 4.2.. sync all cores will force it to 4.3. and yes you should enable speedstep or whatever its called in your bios. this cpu is kind of old.. you should run it as fast as you can without it overheating or needing a bunch of power.. I was looking at the CPU options, and there is something called the "Performance Core Ratio". The options I can select are "auto" and "sync all cores". If I choose the "sync all cores" option, will that mean that the CPU can run at 4.4 GHz on ALL cores (instead of 4.0 GHz when all cores are utilized)? Also, the PL1 and PL2 are 165w and 255w.
