Looking purely at the wiring diagrams (on the later model anyway) pins 2 and 36 of the LCM provide 12v positive to pin 2 of the bi-xenon shutter motor and holds it open. when the lights are dipped the positive supply is interupted and (I would guess) the shutter is closed by some sort of spring return mechanism.
