How does the level cap work in PokéMMO? I heard two versions of how the level cap works in this game. The first one is, it works like in the normal games. If you overlevel your Pokémon it doesn't obey you anymore.. A list of level caps for each generation of Pokémon games as a reference for the Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge. Also includes level caps for popular ROM Hacks!

Pokémon stop leveling once they reach the cap, set by the player's regional amount of badges. Any Pokémon over this barrier will faint themselves in battle, however out of battle moves, like Cut or Fly are useable.
