It's been over two years since Boruto: Naruto Next Generations went on break, and fans are still asking: what exactly happened to the anime? The continuation of Naruto Shippuden had built strong momentum before it suddenly stopped airing in March 2023.. Seasonal is better. Imo what they should do is have 2 Boruto anime. One mainly follows the manga with some important character building arcs added but not expanded too much. Then a spin off Boruto manga that airs in-between the main boruto show that has filler arca and lots of Slice of life stuff. Best of both worlds.

The largest issue surrounding Boruto 's anime was that it was developing in tandem with the manga, releasing episodes a year after each chapter. Because of this, there were many times when the show would be ahead of its source material, resulting in the series focusing on filler episodes instead of the canon. It isn't uncommon for an anime to air so soon after a chapter is completed, but.. Despite Boruto Part 1 being a complete disaster, some fans still look forward to seeing Boruto get a decent adaptation this time. One thing that everyone should keep note of: Studio Pierrot hasn't cancelled the anime yet. Therefore, there's still hope for the anime to make a comeback. However, it likely won't be until a few more years.
